Gang,

Hey I am needing some help. I have a Tillitson Carburetor that looks like the stock Zeanith but there appears to be no information on them. I have a few pictures that I can post tomorrow. But I am guessing one of you must have information that can help me rebuild it. Thanks!

Eric

It's A Zenith F1B and it's an Ok carb if it works. The problem is their are no suppliers making a carb kit for them.

I checked all the Jets and they appear to be working, the only thing I am short is a new gasket for between the top and the bottom sections. THanks F1B notice TinCup.

Tincup says it is a Zenith, not true, it is a Tillotson my searchings have not turned up any parts for itl. They run really good but foul up easily due to the small and intricate passagways .

The acceleration jet plunger seal likes to fail.

To make a body gasket, Xerox the body upside down and use the print as a template on a sheet of gasket material.

Have rebuilt one just for experance. Had to make the main gasket myself. This was
simple if you have a sharp knife and a hole punch set. There are other gasket kits that have parts that will fit, just be careful and measure twice.

Be carefull with this method ... some, not all, copy machines change the scale slightly. To test, mark a 6" line on the original, then measure the copy. If the copy is exactly the same then cut gasket paper to 8 1/2" X 11" and feed it through the machine with the carb. body upside down. The copy machine should print on the gasket paper. No template needed.
