what you have, I think, is a 36 1/2 ton stake bed fender. I had a pair, (NOS) of these at Hershey 25 years ago and could not sell them

I think the stake bed fenders were flattened, not grooved?...as I recall.

That looks newer than mid 30's...more like 39-ish + with the rear "teardrop"...in regard to trucks.

That is a 38/39 1/2 ton stakebed rear fender. I should know, I've been driving one for nearly 20 years. Toby

That just does not look right for a 38-39 1/2 ton (stakebed) fender. If i recall correctly the stakebed used essentially a modified pickup fender. The fender shown appears too short behind the wheel opening, the wheel opening is too tall, and the inside of the fender is not normal for a Ford fender. Interestingly, it appears that the fender stamping is reversable, in that the opening detail is on both sides. Without a positive id next to a known stakebead fender I have to call it a Noughtaford.

thank you sir..

never had any idea that 1/2 ton stakebeds existed..

I honestly bought this to use as a patch panel for another fender..

given that someone mentioned the inability to sell a pair of NOS fenders like this many years ago.. I may just do that..

time will tell

at least we now all know what stakebed fenders look like..

Sorry to bring this back from the dead. Does anyone know where to source flat top fenders for a 39/39 1 Ton (large wheel opening)?

Even photographs would help. Thanks!
