Stop & Tail lights stay on.

Hi Barners,
I converted to 12 Volt neg ground an everything works fine except my tail lights and stop lights, as soon as I turn my kill switch on they light up with my ignition switch off. What Do you think?

The tail lights being on kinda tells me they are wired wrong at the switch or tail lights themselves.
The stop lights being on is usually a problem at the switch.

" kill switch" meaning the light switch in the center of the steering wheel?

These lights function independently of the ignition switch; so ignition on or off should not matter. (assuming stock ignition switch setup)

If stop lights are on all the time something is mis-wired or there is a short between 2 wires somewhere thus the tail light circuit is crossed to the brake circuit.

In the process of converting you must have inadvertently messed up some wires somewhere.......
Did you mess with the switch body at the base of the steering column at all?
Do a search for the electrical diagram that Mike V posts here all the time and go from there

Check your grounds, lights do funny things when there isn't a complete circuit. Electricity takes the shortest and/or easiest path to complete a circuit.

Stop and Tail lights are two separate circuits. You either have a short between the two, you wired them incorrectly or one ciruit is back feeding the other due to poor grounds.

Thanks Barners!,
Found problem, shorted brake light switch. Went to Tam's and purchased one, problem solved.

Well nice to hear it easy. The switch can usually be fixed quite easily, but, no matter. The stop light must have have been bleeding thru the lower light lens huh.

Usually the switches are fixable, they are pretty simple.
