stone guards

I have a 1930 fordor, Murray body. Just bought a new stone guard from Mike's and it seems the headlight bar is a bit too close to the radiator/shell for the stone guard to fit in between them. Has this happened to anyone else? Can someone shed some light and/or suggestions on this?

Mine is the same way, I removed 3 bolts on the light bar and slightly swung it out just a bit. Than mounted the stone guard and reinstalled the light bar. I could have jamed it down in there without doing that but it would remove some of the paint on the radiator and bend some of the fins as well.
