OK, There's been lots of help for the OP so I don't feel too bad if I hi jack the thread now.
I was showing my '30 CCPU to my son-in-law a few days ago and when I closed a door, I heard a new rattle from the front. An investigation quickly revealed that one of the mounting clips had become detached from the guard. The tack welds were VERY substandard and had broken. Lucky it happened in the garage and not on the road where I would have lost the fitting.
I plan on drilling through both clip and guard and using a 5 mm or so SS screw and nut to reattach it. Comments please. I do not have access to a spot welder.
