Stock shock links VS Dog Bone???

I have had dog bones on my cabriolet for about 25 years and never changed a rubber ball yet . Could be it hinges on the quality of the rubber balls Some repro balls might be junk and some everlasting its just finding the high quality ones .

Ì 've heard the dogbone rubbers wear or pop if the ball on the perch is worn. Most shock balls are badly worn here due to dust. How do you build them back up?
