My steering wheel is in pretty good shape, but has a few cracks that are small. The main problem is a piece cracked off the back at the hub. Is there any way that these can be repaired or refurbished?
Use tape to build a fence around the space where the piece was and fill the space with JB Weld. When it hardens you can file and sand the JB to the right shape.
You can buy PC-7 paste from Home Depot. That is what most folks use to put the plasic back in there wheels. It has a putty like consistancy that is easy to mold and it will stay where you put it pretty well. I've even heard of folks using masking tape to hold it inplace till it cures then pull the tape & sand it smooth to paint. It will work with hard rubber and plastic wheels.
