Steering problems 38 ford tudor

Well, I completely rebuilt the front end on the 38 I ordered a new, improved drag link as a matter of course. (Ebay) Set the toe in at exactly 1/16th full left turn; drag link scrapes the tie rod I have the bend in the tie rod pointing down as to give it clearance. no avail; new drag link is too fat. Old one is Not bad at all. So I think I will just change the outer end and reinstall the old one. Right now it takes two men and a boy to steer it with the car not in motion. So I have to do something .

Not understanding your toe-in full left turn? The toe-in is set while both wheels are pointed straight forward.

get creative and bend it to fit! Leave the tie rod straight, bend the drag link.

I'd do it in a press.
No press, I'd slip a big pipe over it and bend in the vise.
No vise, I'd lay it on a couple 1by boards and run it over with a car.
No car or 1by's, run it across the frame and jack it up with a bottle jack.

I could go on, but remember when we were kids and you got it done with no tools and no help?
