Steering gear box leak

In a recent discovery, I found the steering gear box very low of oil. I ordered the 600w oil from Mac's and when I filled it up and I found a leak around the top right hand nut (the eccentric adjusting sleeve nut). My manual indicates that there a few parts that make up this housing cover adjustment. My questions are: 1) could it be one of these parts causing the leak and in need of replacing and 2) can this be done without pulling the whole steering assembly out of the car? Thanks in advance for any insight you may be able to share.

I had the same leak as you have, Remove the eccentric adjusting sleeve nut and stud, coat the threads of the stud, the half that screws into the box with permatex or other sealant. Remove steering box from car.

The 2 tooth box only holds a few ounces, should not be filled to over-flowing. The leak will not hurt anything. [ except maybe your floor]. Adjusting or fooling with a 2 tooth box should be done correctly which requires the service bulletins until the procedure is memorized. Model As ,like most males, feel the need to mark their territory.
