steering box

Can someone tell what the casting numbers are on a f1 ford steering box is,
I know the f100 casting number is 3cc003
I have a 3cc031 and don't know what it is for (or fits)

What about a picture. Casting numbers mean nothing but that, a casting number.

I can take a picture but not tonight. All F100 boxes have 3cc003 in raised numbers on them so I assumed that the raised numbers 3cc031 would be specific to a perticular vehicle. Which or what?

It may have meant something to Gemmer but FoMoCo had there own numbers. My F1 box has 30896 for a casting number.

I, too, have a steering box with the same number in housing....30896. Would it be possible to reply with the origin? It's apart for rebuild and I am totally confused by the internet babble.
