Steering arm and pitman ball wear?

We have gone through the books and can not find what the wear limits are for the steering balls. We get .015 on the tie-rod balls and .030 and .040 on the pitman balls.

I have seen posted here the figure of 0.025 inches as the acceptable wear limit. My experience is that steering arm wear most affects the way your car tracks on the road and the pitman arm wear is most noticeable as steering wheel play. It all adds up in the way the car handles, so best to get it right when you have it apart..

I generally think of .020 as the limit.
