Starter voltage choice...?

Ok, so, I need to replace my starter and as it turns out Mac's offers them in both 6 and 12 volt.

I had a 6volt and for over 15 years, it worked fine on a 12v system. Spun the motor nice and fast.

Should I switch to a 12v or go back with another 6v?

Just lookin for opinions...

I guess your car has a 12 volt system. If so then use a 12 volt starter. Regards, Kevin.

Since your system is now 12V go with a 12V starter. That 12V conversion article is a neat idea and might be cheaper.

You just missed out as they were on special..
I put a 12 volt in ( my pickup is converted to 12. Volt ) and it spins fine..
That just got me thinking, I can't remember seeing anything on the starter or package saying it was 12 volt one ??

Oh and when you go to install it remember to tape it up with gaffer tape so it doesn't come apart!
