Starter switch woes

........put a new starter switch on the coupe last week. The car started
after fiddling with a stubborn button. After adjusting the rod where it goes
into the switch, I discovered that it was impossible to move by hand even
after working the nut back and forth. After working with it a half hour, I
decided to take the switch off and stick it into the vise and ream out the hole----ever so slight. It now starts like Henry meant for it too. Some of the parts available are like a box of chocolates...............lol.

The threads on the post that the disconnect connects to are stripped and I would have to cut off the post to use the switch housing. That's why I bought the new switch in the first place.....not to mention that the housing on the old one has a
big gash on it. Opening the hole on the new switch was definitely the lessor of two
evils.
