Starter rod 32 4 cylinder

For your info the V8 one is the same. I am assuming you are talking about the rod that goes into the starter switch mounted on the steering column.

Jerry,

I compared the one on my model A with the one on my '32 and they look close. It looks like the Model '32 is about 3/4 inch longer. You might be able to splice a piece in under the head where it doesn't show. The heads may screw onto some of the reproduction ones which would enable you to start with a piece of stock and thread it on both ends. Good luck. Just a thought, have you tried Baxter's Ford Parts (785) 842-9256 (they seem to be a good source for original parts)?

Jerry,

It is interesting to note that the Green Bible shows the same rod being used '28-'34 (18-11470-B). Maybe my measurements were wrong or maybe Ford decided that having a slightly longer rod as a replacement for the Model A was acceptable. This means the Model A rod might work.
