Looking for a starter drive for an early 1928. It has the 1/2 shft instead of the larger 5/8. :(

I would suggest you consider using the DR Bendix Drive conversion instead of the Able Drive. This conversion is covered in the Service Bulletins. If you have the 2nd generation 1/2 starter then you only need to find the correct Bendix Drive; this is also covered in the Service Bulletins.

I have a NOS starter drive assembly and a corresponding NOS drive spring that will work on the second generation 1/2" starter shaft. The number on the drive assembly box is A-11354-AR, but it is the DR version, and the number on the spring spring box is A-11375-DR. Please send me a private message if you want more information and price. My e-mail is minicooperk@msn.com.
