New Problem: ‘39 stalls when it gets warm; restarts after 5-10 min and good until temp back up. Before stall, usually at stop or low engine speed, it may sputter a bit (inconsistent).
Info so far:
1. 3k miles since complete rebuild including new radiator core, Skips water pumps, new exhaust system, rebuilt fuel pump, etc.
2. recent recheck: distributor, coil, radiator flow and pressure test; condenser replaced, coolant changed
3.infrared reflectance temps at time of stall checked on radiator (same both sides, max186 at top/ 158 bottom), heads (rear(179) only slightly hotter than front (174)) fuel pump (114), carb (113)
4. temp gauge runs around "¾" except on cold days and has always done that
The question: What might fail and cause stalling at operating temps? What else to check? What am I missing? I am frustrated!
