St Georgepics

Great pictures. Makes me think I'm back in St. George and need to back out and look at all of the great cars all over again. Thanks

Cecil, thanks for the pics. It was a great meet. My group from "Kaleeeforniaa" had a great time and saw some wonderful scenery. One of the best meets I have attended. Actually they are all great meets! Ford people having Ford fun.

Thanks Cecil for these St. George photographs. I felt like I was walking down the rows looking at each car. We couldn't make but want to go next year. Has the Early Ford V8 club announced where it will be?

Great pictures. Is this an annual event? Were there cars for sale?

Thanks

Sturgis 39,
The St George, Utah meet was the Early Ford V8 Club of America's Western National Meet. They usually have an Eastern, Central, and Western meet every year for four years IF they can get regional groups to volunteer to do these meets. Some times all three meets do not happen. Then every fifth year they have a single meet called the Grand National Meet. It is a great organization to belong to. Membership fee is $35.00 per person per year ($38 for a couple) and this includes 6 copies of the V8 Times magazine which in my opinion is well worth the membership fee alone.

a few but some big prices i dont think any of them sold

Trev, I saw a beautiful '35 3W coupe for sale at St. Geo. for $55,000.00. It was burgundy colored with general jumbo wheels. That is one of my dreams to own a 3W coupe again but my wife just laughed when I told her I would like to buy it.

John, The man who kept my car in Abilene KS, while I came home to get my trailer, Arliss Kready, has a really nice '36 5 window coupe and a Mullens trailer. Not for sale.

It looks like the furthest west show next year is in Auburn, In. next August.

I'm all signed up for that one as well as the Eastern Nat. Meet in NY. We may have another Western Meet next year in St. George and a 2013 Grand National Meet in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. Opportunities for more wild west adventures for us to think about. Get that engine fixed Cecil........we have a lot of driving to do!

Yes, that's the one jdl. I had a '35 3W coupe in high school. Sold it in '76 :(. The girls loved to ride in that car. I'm not sure I like the General Jumbos as much as I do the original wires with beautiy rings.

I'm chomping at the bit, John, but still sidelined with my carpal tunnel surgery. Stitches come out next Thursday and then we'll see. I'm going with Willis Terrett on Monday-Wed. to Atlanta to pick up a rebuild engine for his '51. Since my piston came apart and he has an untouched engine also, he is concerned about driving long trips.
