Looks like it's gonna miss us up here north of Brainerd. Still cold and windy and grey outside. It's still better than the snow they're getting further south. Of all the winters dor getting stuck in Minnesota.

Hey Denny, if the winds would just change direction, they could blow
some of this up your way :D Winds are outa the north tho 30 to 50 mph

.

Last yr it was t-shirts and shorts on Easter. Lake was out on April 1st last yr also and thats no joke. Just saw a guy driving his truck out there to go fishing today.

roads are glare ice here, rain to sleet then snow last night. ground is thawed, so mud underneath it all. snowing like crazy now, and supposed to go all night. 12-15 when done. yea its spring!!

I was in Wal Mart the other day and got talking to a guy in the fishing tackle section. I thought he was window shopping for next spring, but he said he is going ice fishing just about every day. He said there is still 3 1/2 ft of clear ice on the lakes up here. It's hardly been above freezing at all and Tuesday it was 1 below when I got up. We're still making ice at that rate. I hear they're thinking of pushing the opening of fishing season back to the 4th of July.

Lanny; I'm glad I'm not down where you are and I think the wind is just fine the way it is.

This morning I thought the windows were fogged up. Turned out the wind was blowing so hard that there was a complete white-out outside. Luckily it looks like we are not going to get as much snow here as southern MN. Mpls news this afternoon was saying that we are probably going to have a new, all time record for April snowfall.

I'm not trying to highjack your thread but it was nice down here in Georgia today.

Greg, as Minnesota born guy, we deserve those jabs, ha. But being a previous twenty yr resident of Florida all I can say is... lets reconvene this subject of weather in june/july. :)

Its a pretty miserable spring here in Sask. too. I think I spent maybe half an hour outside in that cold wind today. 3 years ago yesterday I was out test driving the 52 Merc on mostly dry ground on a warm sunny day.
Good times are coming...soon.

I know I'll hear from everyone later, it does get so hot here that the 50 has to stay in the garage. July and August the last couple of year haven't been suited to a no a/c car.

I have a buddy who's a lineman in sw minn. He's really busy after 70 poles went down leaving small towns in the area without power. Roads littered from Nebraska to South Dakota with jack knifed trucks. Crazy weather... heard there is a contract out on that damn groundhog. ha ha :)

I know this is a joke... but sometimes Wisconsin is a bit interesting.
