ive had a little thought concerning my front end im gonna be running

basically everythings model a with a 32 axle im yet to buy perches and brake actuators but im thinking would i need model a perches or 32 ones?

is the ear that the actuators bolt too longer on a 32 perch to make up for the drop on the 32 axle? or are they same as model A perch's

any help is apreciated

Cheers

Cheers to you....I believe they are different, the 2 that I have I think are 32, the
actuator stud hole( now I can't remember ) is different...BUT...the shock ball
IS different, try the Early v/8 side, as a thought.

the shock ball would'nt be too bad as im gonna run later shocks but with wanting to run A actuators its still abit vague i'll copy it over to the V8 side

Thanks

if you run a 32 axle you need to run everything 32
perches/spindles/actuators.
you can still use the a wishbone with 1/4 spacers
the axle has a slight drop to it so the perches are taller

If you are going to retain the mechanical brakes, everything needs to be 32 as Kelly says. Otherwise I think it makes little difference.

revision to my above statement
32 axle (or 33-34)
32 spindles
model a actuators
model a kingpin
here is a pic

I'm in the process of doing the same thing on my Model A coupe and I'm slowly collecting the parts needed. I picked up a set of 32 spindles and the guy sent along the kingpins and bushings which look to be in good shape. I'm wondering where the difference is if the Model A kingpins fits in the 32 spindles? Is it in the actuators? Also isn't the 32 to 36 axle all the same on the cars and pickups?

my picture above is the way it needs to be to work with mechanical brakes
i have about 10 hours in trying to get the correct parts combo to make the mechanical brakes work
the axle is 2 inches not 2.25 like a model a
also the kingpin keeper slot is on an angle and a model a is straight (parallel to the actuator)
