Spring Perch Bushing

After fighting one side i found what I think is a easier way.

After I got the center pin out.
I very carefully drilled bushing with a 11/16 reduced shack bit. 3/4 is too big and will take some off of the perch, 11/16 not quite big enough to take entire bushing. Used a 3/8 cordless drill on screw setting so I would not have too much torque. After I drilled through , I pounded it out with no more than a dozen whacks, took longer to slowly drill it .A Craftsman 1/2" 3/8 drive deep socket is exactly the correct size to punch it through. I don't know but maybe by thinning the bushing it made it weak enough to drive out. or
maybe I just got lucky, but I had beat my brains out on the other side, and this one with no movement at all.
