My coupe had a 10-leaf rear spring that the previous owner scavenged from a Tudor sedan. I took out leaves 7 and 9 based on my study of Marco Tahtara's excellent diagrams showing that a 10-leaf spring from a Tudor minus leaves 7 and 9 resulted in a match with the 8-leaf coupe spring.

I commend you in your excellent research. Many (most?) folks do not realize that there are specific leaves that make a spring assembly. One does not simply (properly) remove a leaf or two at random.
