Spring centering bolt diameter.

What is the diameter of the spring centering bolt for a 47 Ford rear spring ?
I was just out looking at the one that I have and noticed that the bolt is broken off.
I am not sure what is holding it all together other than the spring cover but I believe that it has been this way for a while.

Center bolt diameter 3/8"
A socket head bolt (allen) of the proper length makes a good center bolt if you're not hung up on correctness.

At this point I just want to get a grade 8 bolt in there. I will order the correct one when the time comes.
