I am interested in purchasing a Sportlight (spotlight) for my 30 Coupe. It would make a great Christmas present for my wife. I bought her an engine hoist for her recent birthday in November. What a thoughtful guy I am!!
I have read the recent thread on the subject - Sportlight that is.
I have a couple of questions.
1. I have contacted Unity and they have given me a part # for a 30 Coupe. They do not have installation kits, but Mikes in Georgia does. Has anyone bought one of the recent lights from Unity and are they the same as the original from a dimensional point of view? I understand that Unity was the original manufacturer of Sportlights when A's were new.
2. Is there another manufacturer of spotlights that would be suitable for a Model A that would be less expensive? With freight, taxes, import costs into Canada etc I am looking at $500 for a Unity light - if the installation kit from Mikes will work.
Thanks
Dick
