Sport coupe is a coupe with all the hassles of a cabriolet and none of the benefits. You get to spend the $$$ to put a cloth top on the car and not be able to put it down. They also have less visibility since they lack the little quarter windows.
The cabriolet is a convertible that has roll up door windows. The cabriolet doors will not have a back or top edge around the glass so you can put the top down and see all around.
The cabriolet was made in a straight and slant window style and were a high end car. They were low production and are much more expensive to buy and restore. The cabriolet, being low production, had more wood in the structure.
heres two pictures of a sport coupe and three of a cabriolet
the 29 -30 and some 31s were the straight window versions and the slant window was after about June of 31
Look at the doors and top closely
a real quick way to tell the difference is the sunvisor on the sport coupe
or if the tops down its a given that its a cabriolet

I went to a cruise one night and there were a bunch of A's from my club and some guy with his daughter was showing her the different models and explaining to her that mine was called a "cabriolet" and she was beaming with pride at her dad's knowledge
about cars. I didn't have the heart to tell him that mine was a Sport Coupe and not a
cabriolet. Another guy asked me on another occasion why I didn't put the top down and I simply replied that I had forgotten my knife and that was the only way I could get the top to come off in a hurry!
