spider hub caps

i had a question i recently found a pair of spider hub caps.. i have no use for them but i was just wondering what they are worth. they have some dings and scratches on them but all can be fixed. also the indented ones are 36 style or?

The repos go for over $600 per set,but that is new. Dings and scrapes cost $$ to fix soooo. Go figure. Yes the indented ones are 36 only. ken ct.

You are the one that brought up insects. Why? A spider is not an insect. Insects have three pair of walking legs; a spider has 4.

If I was in the market for spyder caps, I'd be looking for originals, as the repops seem to be made of tinfoil they're so fragile. How do you get them on and off without denting the new ones??

And about getting them off, I made a simple slide hammer for mine. No more going behind the wheel with a long screwdriver!

Brendan...true bugs are a type of insect of order Hempitera. Ladybugs are not bugs, but beetles of order Coleoptera.

1936 Spyder Hub Caps - a History

These Accessory Hubcaps are correct as described in the heading for 1936 Fords. They are correct only for the 1936 Fords, as the V8 Symbol & Ring are recessed.
They do not fit any 1935 Ford, which had a Wire Wheel & the small Hubcap.
The exact same pattern (design) of V8 symbol with the Ring was used for the 1937 Fords, but these areas were "raised" for 1937 & not "recessed" as they were on the 1936 Hubcaps. (this is true for the regular issue Hubcaps also)
Then, for 1938, a totally redesigned Spyder Hubcap was offered as an accessory.
While Ford Motor Company redesigned the Regular Hubcaps on the 1939 Fords, (both the Standard & Deluxe are different) they never did update the Spyder Hubcap for 1939, but used over the "carry-over" 1938 Spyder Hubcaps on the 1939 Fords. That means that there are 3 different Spyder Hubcaps.
