Folks.
Please check your work for spelling before listing. There are some terrible mistakes out there.

Hi Louis.
The new thread on Spark Plugs is one example. ALTHOUGH I know it is easy to push the button and suddenly realize you have made a mistake, but it is too late to correct. If you look closely you will find many mistakes in many threads. Foreign languages exempt.

No problem RHD, It probley has something to do with you driving on the wrong side of the road :D.
This spelling thing comes up ever once in a while, and the one who brings it up, most times gets run out of town on a rail ;).
I sure hope i diden't missspell anything. All in fun, "But don't do it agin" ;)

You can edit your own posts, including spelling, there is an edit button at the bottom of the posts that you make. I do it myself quite often. I don't believe it's worth getting our knickers in a twist over. Plus, American spelling is different from UK/Australian/Kiwi spelling on a lot of words. Also, fordbarn is an international forum, including non-english speaking nationals.

When I was in high school auto shop, most of the class couldn't read a sentence from the textbook outloud. Our teacher spent most of our classtime teaching everyone to read and spell. t

I taught auto mechanics at a VoTec school one year and had the same problem with many of my students. I guess they don't hold the students back anymore if they can't read at the grade level.

I have mild case of dyslexia and have never been a good speller. I never passed a spelling test in school. I do better working with my hands than with my brain. I have tried not to let this stop me. I have even taken on being our club editor for our news letter and it has helped me to spell better. I still have a big problem with grammer and punctuation but I am trying to learn. I am very lucky that our club members are not judgemental on mistakes I have made in our club news letter "The Rumble Sheet". So I do not make a big deal when others make spelling erros, as I have, and still am walking in their shoes

Please make allowances for our southern friends. They have great barriers to over come! They drive on the wrong side of the car. Their water drains out of the tub backwards. They haven't even got a North Star to follow and they put TYERS on their Model A's. I might as well add they eat fruit when it is green that needs a shave that has little black specks that look like ants.

What rubs me raw is the big dummys out there that don't capitalize "I" when refering to ones self.
