Speedster progress

Although I am usually a stickler for authentic restorations, I have had this bug for a speedster for some time. My project started out as a sedan that a farmer back-halfed into a pickup, so no good cars were harmed in this build. I am going for "The Dawn of Racing" look, and have chosen a 1914-ish era. This is about all that is going to be on the chassis. I am shooting for less than 800 pounds for a good power to weight ratio. Light is mite, as they say. It is pretty cold out, but I try to do something every day. I hope to be buzzing around my neighborhood by the first of March.

Don't forget the exhaust cutout and whistle! These period correct accessories will keep the neighbors entertained!

You'll have loads of fun, they get real peppy when you lighten them up and put a higher compression head on them.
