Speedometer Restoration Cost

I have a 34 metric speedometer that needs restoration or replacement. A restored replacement is available but it's not cheap. Mine is in fairly good condition but needs cleaning, adjusting, the trip odometer repaired, and the face plate & odometer wheels restored.

I know I can get a firm price from gage restorers like Bob's if I send the speedometer to them but I'm not quite ready to do that. If anyone has a ballpark figure for this work I would really appreciate it.

I need to see it but around $250.00 to $300.00 at least!!!

It always depends on how crusty they are and whether they need silk screen work or other repair parts.

chroming the bezel and redoing the silkscreen is what cost the most. just a mechanical repair can be had for much less
