speedometer noise

speedo making noise off & on so I lubed the shaft but that didn't help sometimes if I pressed on the glass or around the edge it wold quit with the noise but now it wont quit had to stop and disconnect cause it made the racket all the time when car moving. can the speedo be taken apart and lubed? any other ideas would be appreciated.
 
yess it can just punch out the bronz bushings on the worm drives and grease put back together (dont touch the spring on top) that is spechaily calibrated. or sent it out for compleate rebuild restoration and re calibration for about $240
