Speedometer casing question

[jehagado]

Does the Model A or any early Ford use a speedo casing with an od of .445"?

[Tom Wesenberg]

My 1928-29 cable measures .456".

Thanks,
Can someone give me the range of years fat speedo cables were used?

Per the RG&JS (Revised 2011) page 1-15 the initial speedometer was 15/32" in diameter. With the introduction of the round speedometer in June 1930 the cable was 19/64 in diameter.
