Sparky Start

I guess I never thought of it as significant or different as my knowledge of Model A intakes is nil. I trust you have not seen one like it before? Any input from you or others would be appreciated.

I have one very similar and it came off a B engine, '34 I think. Jim

Is it a good manifold, and by that I mean does it flow better to take advantage of the updraught carb? While not new to flatheads, I am new to flathead bangers and would like to learn from those with practical experience vs. what I have read in most of the literature I have acquired.

I believe the intake is from an experimental engine when Ford was trying to develop a vacuum clutch on the B . The vacuum line ran from the front on the intake manifolod around the block to a diaphram mounted on a cast pad just above the pan rail on the driver's side.

The intake manifold is a Model B intake manifold 1932, 1933, 1934.

The boss on the front facing forward is a vacuum port and the boss. Teh boss sticking out behind the carbuerator is for a bell crank mount.
