Spark question

Okay guys, this may be premature, but my wife says it wont be the first time i was premature
.
First and foremost thank you to every one that was kind enough to offer advise and knowledge, both of experience and part numbers.

I would probably never have figured it out if it weren't for all the help here. Again thank you very very much.

It turned out to be the condenser, well kind of. I got a new condenser like Bolts suggested. When I went to install it i found out I hadn't tightened the old condenser, it was flopping loose where it bolts to the distributor housing.

HOW IN THE WORLD DID I MISS THAT AS MANY TIMES AS IVE HAD THE DISTRIBUTOR APART AND ON AND OFF THE MOTOR. Twice just yesterday.

Anyway, I tightened the old condenser up both places and she now starts just bumping the starter and took gas like it should. I only ran it about 20 seconds though, its dry of water. I have the radiator back out and the motors just put together enuf to work on trying to figure out what was wrong.

Tonight I will reinstall everything and see how long it acts right.

Again thanks to everybody for their input, as you know I was thinking maybe I had timed the cam wrong maybe.

Most times it pays to check what you have been playing with last.
A good point to start off with. Has happened to may on many occasions and soon you are off in another direction.
Good to get a positive result on this..
So now you are ready with a spare condenser.
