59AB 47 Ford Engine, currently using Champion HC10 seem to be doing fine, due for new ones and thought I'd run it by you folks to get varying ideas on these or any other plug recommendations that are being used.
i want to change to the NGK B6L but the B4L has a hotter spark. i have a 8Ba with two holleys and electronic ignition and offy heads. Is there any difference with the spark plugs and any problems i should be aware of if i want to run hotter plugs? Also what is the correct spark plug gap i should have on the above set up?
I've used Autolite 437's in my Offy heads with good results. They're hotter than HC-10's. The 437 is the same as the 416, except for an extended reach.
I think you'll find the Autolite 437 is a hotter plug than the 216. They will usually work fine if your original plugs run black and sooty or the engine likes to burn a little oil. There usually to hot if you have real high compression. WaltCorrection: The Autolite 437 is the same as the Autolite 216, except....
