Spark Plug Autolite 3076

is there something about the AL 3077 that is better than the 3076

They are a solid heat range higher than the 3076's. If you do a lot of cold climate short or slow trips with a stock head they would burn clean. Definitely not for the long highway run or higher than 5.5cr engine. They would overheat and initiate pre-ignition. A lot of hit-and-miss kerosene engines run well with them, and probably so would a kerosene converted A. Good luck getting one of those started in the winter!

And why does the article state that the 3X plugs are only for cars that get driven rarely?
Good question as I have 3X in my engine and drive them all the time. There are also a couple of other items in that article that I have an issue with. Mostly though I found it informative.

Apparently the seller on Amazon screwed up his ad and has backed out of the deal. I just got a notice from Amazon that they were refunding my $16.53, Reason for refund: Customer Return.

Previously they had shown as "Shipped". I never received them, so I'm just wondering how I could possibly have returned them.

I'm sure that's just the way AutoPartsWAY had of backing out of a deal that they made an obvious mistake on. Another one of these "If it looks too good to be true, it probably is!"

Did anyone else that ordered these have this happen to them??

Edit:
I just got this message from the seller:
This is to inform you that this morning the USPS called us to inform us that your order was damaged in shipping. From what we understand the entire box was crushed. We are very sorry to have to inform you of this situation.
Please understand that we do our best to ensure that all orders leave our fulfillment centers as close as possible to be delivered within the delivery date estimated when you place your order, but occasionally a shipment may be delayed or damaged by circumstances beyond our control.

They shipped TWO plugs to me and I had ordered 20. I contacted them and they explained it was an error at Amazon however they would honor the order and ship me the other 18 plugs at their cost. So far they haven't arrived but I suspect they will.

I just can't imagine the USPS damaged a package.:D:p:mad::mad::mad: It would be funny if it wasn't so true about all the damage they do. There are several things I can no longer buy or ship due to their sloppy handling.

I have 2 powerhouse generators to ship and will be using UPS, the same way they were shipped to me. With UPS the box looked like new.

When it has to positively arrive damaged, use USPS.

Carl, I just got a second email the same as yours.
I emailed them and told them to just resend the order.

On the 3077 plugs.... I had Oreilly's order them for me. It was a couple of years ago but they got all I wanted. I understand it has been discontinued so I'd try all your local places and hopefully, someone will have some in their warehouse. Better buy all you want though.

Received my Amazon order of 10ea Autolite 3076 sparkplugs last week. It was sent USPS, package was damaged but plugs were OK.

They have sent me two plugs (instead of the 20 I ordered) TWICE! I have emailed and they offered to cancel the order and refund. I said I'd wait for their shipment to come in.... supposedly 2-3 weeks. We'll see.....

I received 4 Autolite 3076 plugs within 3 days from Advance Auto Parts.

Unfortunately, they didn't pack them well. They are OK except one is missing the little cap that screws on the top.

Overall, I was less than impressed with the build quality of the Autolite plugs compared to the Champion 3X plugs. Not even going to bother trying the Autolites for the long trip this weekend, just going to stick with the 3X plugs for now.
