Spare Wheel Blocks:

Does anyone know where I could find the wood block that goes behind the spare wheel on a 1940 Ford two-door sedan?I am missing one of them and would like to replace with an original and mounting hardware.I checked with Roy Nacewicz and they don't make them for a 40.Thanks,Russell

Thanks Royal,that was probably my next way to go.I was looking for original if possible.Thought maybe someone that went from original to street rod may have a set laying around.

I can't promise an immediate result but I believe I have a couple original blocks. I will look and if so it is yours. Folks here have been good to me and it would be great to pass it on. Let me know if you find one before.

Did someone mention 40 sedan spare tire wood blocks? I never thought I would see the day where I could display my 40 spare tire wood block collection. I had more but I've been using them to heat my shop, 73 year old oak burns pretty good. These are what I have removed from 40 Ford sedans in the past 37 years but you might want to get another opinion.
