Ryan is not a scammer,he is just a serious Model A guy.I have bought a few things from him.I just drive to his house and pick it up.He buys and sells a few parts and cars. There was an article about him driving his A across the country, maybe 5?? or so years ago.The last time I was there he had a bunch of American Classic tires for sale.I don't think those were something he's picked up thopugh,I think he had just become a dealer for them.
I always tell them I'll pay the 3% extra to send it for goods and services (so I'm covered). If they balk it's a scam.I am being asked to send payment as friends/family, which does not provide fraud protection from PayPal,

When I answered the original post I read it that he was asking about Ryan himself, not just the ad.Actually for years when I saw gmail as an address I went the other way.I personally won't use paypal in any form to either sell or buy,no matter how much is offered.Very bad experience with them over 15 years ago soured me on them.I was lucky,I was only out about $600.Found out that Square trade and Buyer protection plus was a joke.
