I had to have my lock drilled out that holds the hub cap on my spare tire because I never had the keys and I needed it off. Now I need to locate a new one or a new way to hold it on anyone have a lead?
I would assume that "Knoxville9" intended to say that the spare tire is mounted in front of the right rear fender, on the running board, where there is is slight depression in the RB for the tire to rest into.

Put your glasses on and look closely at the back side of the lock cylinder, there are two small tines that are unique to the spare tire lock. The ignition lock cylinder has a small circular round offset that moves the steering column lock. If these cylinders are wrong for pickup spare tire lock, I have been selling the wrong one for the last 39 years of selling NOS parts and will need to make some refunds.Your lock is for ignition switch, not spare tire. Spare tire lock is shorter and fatter if I remember correctly.
