Spare tire cover

Hello,
I have a Model A that I run 16s on and I wanted to have a spare tire cover. I came across one and picked it up. What else do I need to complete it in order to lock it/secure it?

Locate an early V8 locking cap for the size wire wheel with key. Look on ebay and Fordbarn 'Parts for sale' forum

You need the following items.
1.Either a 32,33,34 or 35 locking hubcap( all will work).
2. The short strap that secures behind the hubcap.
3. The long curved strap that secures behind the spare wheel on the mount itself.
4. Not sure if you have the outer surrounding ring that wraps around the tyre holding the faceplate in?
The photo is my 35 roadster with the 4 items shown.

There is a metal outer cover over the tire tread that holds the metal face in place. The shape of the outer cover is enough to hold the face in place. Photos above #6 & $7 show the cover. The spare tire locking hub cap and it's strap do not hold the cover in place but do secure the tire and rim from theft and cover the hole in the rim for the lug nuts.

There is an alternative to the locking hubcap. It's a small lock with key that fits onto one of the lug nuts that holds the spare. Then you can use a stock hub cap. The tough part that I see is trying to straighten the stainless trim band on the front cover. It's a serious dent and finding another one is tough.

1934 and 1935 Ford Spare Wheel Covers - Did you know that they are different
The photo in Post 4 shows a 1933/1934 Cover, but is marked incorrectly as 35-36 Ford.
In this photo, the 33/34 is on the left and the 35 on the right.
The obvious difference is the width of the Chrome Ring.
