Spacer for KH bent spoke wheels

My KH wheels will not fit over the cast OEM Model A rear brake drums. Will the spacer sold to adapt wires to the 40s ford drums work?

The spacers are made to fit over the raised part of your drum so the wheels
are supported properly. I hope this helps.

Tim,
This Q has been discussed at length in any number of threads in recent past. You say cast OEM...if your drums ARE model a drums, you DO NOT need spacers. Spacers are used to compensate for when HYDRAULIC brake type later drums are used on model a.
Example, I've been running KH ('35 40spoke/bent) for many years w/o spacers and many others do also.

Note: a pic of my A with KH on cast front A drums and Steel A rear drums ..no spacers.

I had that problem also on the rear CI drums. I used a die grinder and to remove the top of the rivets inside the hub of the KH wheels. The rivets are plenty thick and removing a portion of them will not weaken them enough to worry about. Only remove enough of the rivet heads to allow the KH hub to fit over the CI drums.
