Just purchased a nice late '28 Phaeton and was wondering where is a good source of information on production stats and mechanical parts if any.
Thanks in advance for any info you can supply.

Thanks Steve!
One of the things I first noticed was the split e Brake shaft that terminates on either side of the universal joint cap instead of going completely across. I think it has something to do with the right hand drive? There will be other items after I get the car home (to much rain right now to move it). There is also a S/N stamped on the passenger side rear floor wood. Any ideas on that?
Thanks
Could be? The Motor is an Oct of '28. Haven't seen the actual frame number yet or the registration to see if they match. I believe it does have provisions for the tuna can style tail light on the right side of the body but has been adapted to the left rear fender as in US production. Don't have a good picture of it when I was snapping some quick photos.

Your car is equipted with the floating brake system, a 28 feature. If its October 28, you will also have a emergency brake cross shaft behind the frame center cross member with brake rods to the rear backing plate emergency arm clevis. The tuna can tail light and fluted headlight lens were used thru February 1929.
Your RHD Phaeton probably started its working life in Argentina, or even Uruguay.
If you want to leave it RHD, a booklet on them by Les Pearson will be available very soon from Snyders.
TK in LA,
Awesome find...I have a 10-26-28 CC Pickup that has the same multi piece brake equalizer and additional items mentioned by Ron in Quincy. The brakes really work great when tuned. Fun to work on! (Might be 10-28-28 as day was a partial stamp)

Re the RHD Sth American Model A's, I have asked Maxi in Argentina [Club Amigos de Model A] about plant body stampings there. Answer was 'no letters or numbers.'
Most fuel tanks for all worldwide Model A's appear to have been date stamped for that period from mid '28 until mid '29. Does that mean all tanks come from one source? I do not wish to speculate ; hopefully information will come out in the future
