Has any one added a headliner and rear interior panels on the '31 pickup ?
Any photos would be appreciated.

I have done so on my 31 Pickup. It is currently in winter storage, but I will try to get you pictures this weekend.

The weather here is terrible (-22f windchill). I will try to get to storage tomorrow. The headliner is basically the same as a Tudor sedan since the pickup cab is essentially the same as the front half of a Tudor. Cloth is sewn and attached to the top cross pieces and the front cardboard panel is used to hold the top material similar to the coupe or tudor. Side pieces are cut to fit above the doors and covered in top cloth that is then nailed to the wood above the doors which tightens the top material as in a tudor. The back corners are cut and formed around the back with strips around the window as in a tudor and then covered in top cloth. I covered the wood piece below the window with the same leather as I used for the seat. I will get pictures soon and that should clarify things a bit.

I got some pictures today. The quality suffers from the cramped quarters and the cold weather. Ask me any questions you may have. PXL_20250125_202345381.jpg

My 1930 CCPU is very noisy. I have wondered at times if I could quieten it down a bit by putting in a lining. Did your job make any difference?

Many thanks again. I was thinking of trying to use a panel board under the roof ribs, but the tacked -in conventional type headliner that you applied conforms better to the compound curves.

Synchro, It quieted it down a bit, but if I would do it again, I would put some butyl insulation on the metal areas before I put in the headliner. I put the butyl stick on insulation inside the doors and kick panels and it made a huge difference in how the doors sound and how much quieter it was. Firewall insulation would really help, but I don't want the foil finish showing.

Though quite expensive, the interior firewall insulator does help as well as 1/4" blanket under the floor mat. Insulation can collect condensation on the wam side but haven't seen any issues so far. If water gets in the doors, the insulation may get wet. Ford used a product similar to roofing mastic on the doors' inside as a sound deadener.
