Smart Signals

I found the owners of Smart Signals good to deal with, However after waiting since November for delivery, I was advised by "John" that the company has been sold to a lighting company that can keep up with demand. I'm sad. I was refunded my deposit promptly. Ron

Smart Signals recently fixed a little problem (loose wire) on my set, and I happened to call Smart Signals today. I mentioned the rumor of a sale, and they assured me the company was not being sold. What is happening is they are partnering with, not selling to, a company that makes LED lights so that production will increase and lead times won’t be so great. They are in the early stages as a new company and experiencing the growing pains associated with a popular product.

I’d cut ‘em some slack. Remember, Henry was about six months on back-orders for the new Model A.

BTW, I am not associated with Smart Signals in any way beyond being a happy customer. And I really mean that happy part: I love these signals!

I'm actually looking to order (VERY SOON) another set (that will make 2) with the break light feature. I agree with Ron Horton in that its a new USA company experiencing growing pains. In my recent conversation with the guy at the company he told me the same think as Ray mentioned. Either way, I'm not concerned. They have a really great product with a lot of demand. To Ron in Tucson, you can always buy a set after the price goes up once they have a larger manufacturing basis to work from and more $$$ to advertise... I'm locking in my cost now. I can't drive the car in the snow anyway... :-)
