Also looks like they took some spring leafs out of the front and put them in the rear
I wonder if there was a reason for the skirts other than there "good looks"

Reminds of a friend back in the day that had a Henry J. Wanted to dress it up so he made a set of skirts out of cardboard and painted them to match the car. Not sure if it improved the looks of the car or not but made him feel like he was in style with the guys with Foxcraft skirts on their 50's Fords, Chevs, etc. Biggest problem was that he had to make new skirts every time it rained. That got old pretty quick.

That looks like a farmhouse, possibly in a remote area away from decent roads. Farm roads back in the day were notoriously bad, especially after wet weather. Maybe the "skirts" were installed to reduce mud and slush from spraying all over in rainy or snowy weather? 'Doesn't mean there can't also be a little artistic flair added to improve the looks of these ad hoc "accessories".

I do not know who owns these A's, but their skirts are interesting.

I used to drive my grandmother around in her ‘65 Thunderbird in exchange for using it when she wasn’t. That car had fender skirts, but they were designed into the original styling. The car looked really funny without them, but they were a PITA to get on and off.

Some cars look good with fender skirts, the Model A is not one of them. IMHO :)

60 Minutes tonight ran a segment on Low Riders in Espanola, NM. one car stuck out from all the rest for me. a red '57 Chevy convertible. low in rear and running red rear wheel skirts.

beautiful car!
