Size rear end

Can somebody tell me how I would tell what rear end I have , It is in the floor with no brake drums or backing plate and no trans hooked to it. I do not want to take it apart. Thanks Semore

Hi Fozzy , your request is somewhat fuzzy , to get a good answer post a picture.

The speedometer drive gear cover will give you a clue if it is still attached. There are numbers embossed on it that give the ratio. For example 9-37 which would be 4.11 to 1. There is a risk that the cover is not original to the unit so the "best" way to tell is to see what the ratio of the rotation of the axle is compared to the rotation of the drive shaft. Gar Williams
