Single post lift Good~ Bad ~ or ~ indifferent

There is Know single post lifs to be install because of oil for the lift in the ground

Food grade / vegetable grade hydraulic oil is the way to go if one is to install a salvaged lift though

single post lift is much better than jack stands and a creeper. put a used one in when we built the shop. Was much cheaper than any above ground unit. Has disadvantages but the main advantage is almost no obstruction in shop when not in use
