I am working on a barn find four doors . The car is complete i am just trying to see what I have . The wiring is too old to use what I am in need of is a basic simple electric diagram to see if the motor will run it turn over with the battery, so what do I need to fire the coil and get spark to the distributor and plugs . Thanks in advance Joe

To see if the motor turns over via the starter, you only need to ground the positive battery terminal to the center crossmember (behind the battery) and run the proper thickness cable (#00) from the negative terminal to the starter switch. Then press the starter switch plunger rod.
For other wiring needs, there are several diagrams in numerous Model A books and manuals.

Thanks for the info what I am looking for is what new wires would I need to run to the coil and the distributor to see if the motor will run !!! Thanks again

You need to hot wire it.

1. Run power up to one coil post from the battery.

2. Run a wire from the other coil post to the points inside the distributor.

3. Start engine.

If you want to be a stickler for detail, the battery should be connected "positive ground".

The wire from coil to points should be connected to the + post of the coil. Connect battery power to the other coil post.

But it should run wired either way, just for a quick test.

Originally they had the armored "pop out switch assembly". If that is missing or non functional then you will need the adapter at the distributor in order to complete the ground circuit from the coil to the breaker points. The power wire just runs from the terminal box up to the coil. If you have a pop out then either restore it or use one of the modern switches available from any number of model A parts supply sources.

This is a good PDF for electrical systems. https://www.lionsgatemodelaclub.com/Reference Info/2018 Reno Electrical System Alex Janke (1).pdf

I hate to say it but if you can't even hot wire a car you're getting in over your head.

I was going to suggest the same but we all have to learn sometime.

If it has been sitting a while; take the cap off and carefully sand the points.

That is the secret ingredient that many miss.
