It looks like that cross sill is missing all it's rivets on that side.Did somebody install it and weld it in from the bottom, and just not use rivets?

Another good question, I’m new to the A world and have been working on getting this one running for 2 months. ( totally restored car but it’s been sitting for 7 years). I’ve completed that and it runs great. Now just trying to clean up loose ends.
I’ll put the car up on the lift today and check out how it’s attached to the cross member.
Thanks guys….big help!

The ends will be under the splash aprons and tough to see.
Whatever u see u might not be able to do any about….easily

The body would have to come back off the frame to install driven rivets. An alternative would be to install blind rivets that are close as possible to the OEM style head and make them look like OEM then touch up paint to match.

The floor structure includes the sub rail or body sill that is visible and one of the cross channels that is underneath. The OP might check under the seat and see how the floor pan is attached to that channel. If rivets were left out then there may be more that are missing. A person can look at the Brookville Roadster floors and see how they are constructed since those bodies and most of the structural parts are reproduced by them.
