sick horn?

I was checking out my friends 26 T, the horn sounds more like a buzzer than an ahooga. Is the horn out of adjustment or is it suppose to sound like that?

Yes, it its a ******** horn. If you take the back cover off you will find a coil and a set of points if it's the ******** type.

It is a buzzer type horn...The Model A came out with a motor driven type...Thus; ahooga....

The model T had two different "electric" horns. the first was the magneto horn that ran off of power from the magneto. And the second was a "battery" horn that would run off of power from the battery or generator. The sound between these two different model T horns were both different in tone and pitch. The sound of the magneto horn would vary depending on engine RPM, which would change the output of the magneto.
