Show me your Pickup Tool Boxes / Chests / Trunks...

My '46 pickup has the gas tank under the seat and doesn't offer enough room to stow a jack, lug wrench, fire extinguisher, flashlight, etc., etc.

I'd like to see what types of boxes, chests, or trunks other members are using in their pickup beds to carry tools & the like. I'd appreciate your pictures, or drawings with dimensions if possible. Thanks! Happy Thanksgiving! My direct email is: vickers303@comcast.net

I got this "Cam Lee" car trunk at an auction. I was told it was off an old Packard.

I'ld love to see some too. I am looking for some way to put a tool box/chest/trunk in the rear of my 35 PU too.

I saw this at a car show in August. It is in a Model A. I also want to make one for Merlot. Byron.

WOW! Got some real nice feedback from you guys. First of all, Walts37 cedar wood bed, trunk & rails look GREAT! Then Pete's "Cam Lee" leather trunk and Byron's oak trunk are both outstanding as well! Hard to make a decision, but I'm on the right track.

Please keep those pics coming in. There's no doubt a long winter comin', so I need more input & ideas. Thanks guys!

Not the best photo but the only one I have at the moment,,this is a trunk for a 1932 Chevy that just happened to be the right size for my 32 pickup.

I have my battery in the trunk and room for a lotta extra stuff.HRP

I've posted this before but you may not have seen it. My 1934 pickup came without the spare wheel well and bracket in the front fender that was almost universal back in the day due to the tire vulnerability and probably the poor roads.
Anyway, I don't think modern tow trucks can get me going again if I use a cell phone as a spare tire for my 17" wheels. Here's my solution. I built a drawer out of oak. It not only holds the spare tire but also the jack and tools, etc.

Since I use my '36 regularly to haul stuff around I preferred to have a tool box on the running board rather than take up space in the bed; this is an old airplane mechanic's tool box -room for tools, spare coil, spare fuel pump, etc. I welded up a cradle with provision for a lock, it's attached to the frame of the truck so no holes in the running board

where can i get a rear view mirow like yours for my 32

As far as I know, my rear view mirror is original to the 1946 truck. You might find what you're looking for @ MAC's Antique Auto Parts and other similar vendors. Just Google ~ antique truck parts ~ and similar word searches. Good Luck!
