I use this one https://www.eastwood.com/induction-...ickedid=730838757115&wickedsource=google&wv=4
Have owned it ten years, replacement leads are available on amazon. It's my most favorite tool I own. I wont use a open flame in my shop so it's my go to. Works wonders on things like stubborn head studs, and removing the pinion race from the differential.
As a side note I also bought a Bolt Buster and sold it as it didn't heat fast enough for my impatience.
Interesting. I've found the heat time can vary somewhat depending of the air gap of the coil around the piece or if its a greasy/crusty or a clean part, but I didn't think it was unusually long (around 30 seconds), but now that you've mentioned it I'm going to pay more attention.
How long does it take for the Eastwood one to heat the part?
